Hitters with 40+ plate appearances. Pitchers and hitters are always ranked on separate lists.

Top 3 on every team

P = pitcher, H = hitter. A player who does both is marked P or H depending on which he does more of and he keeps all four parts of his kWAR.

kWAR counts every player on the team (both qualified and unqualified). 'Expected' is the number of wins a team of fill-in players would get (29.4% of their games) plus the team's kWAR. 'Luck' is the difference between actual wins and expected wins and represents the wins that came as a result of timing, close innings and showdowns rather than the plays themselves.

What is kWAR?

kWAR stands for Potassium Wins Above Replacement. It's one number which tells you how many wins a player has added to his team as compared to a replacement level player off the bench.

  1. In Banana Ball you win by winning innings so the score is in points not runs. kWAR is built on points.
  2. Every hit, walk, steal and out gets a point value. The values are derived from this season's actual games by measuring how much each type of play moved the score. A home run is worth more than a single because it moved the score more, not because it's any more impressive.
  3. Add up every play a player had. That's his point total.
  4. Subtract what a fill-in would have produced given the same plate appearances/innings. What's left is points above replacement.
  5. Divide by 8.25 (which is how many points it takes to turn into a win this season) and you get kWAR.

It doesn't matter when a play occurs. A single in the first inning and a walk-off single are equal in terms of clutch, just as they would be in real baseball WAR. Clutch is a story, not a stat.

0 is a fill-in player and below zero means the bench would have done better. 1.0 is one extra win for the team. 2.0 and above is the best players in the league.

The point values are derived from 138 team-weeks of 2026 games and were set on 9th September 2026 along with the fill-in level. A player's kWAR only changes when he actually plays. The Showdown rounds track the points the league accrued for each round. Pitchers are credited or charged for every ball in play which is why the best starters will always have a higher value than the best hitters and they are of course ranked separately.
